Ruby: A Red Accent in the Just Brilliant Palette

At Just Brilliant, ruby brings a concentrated note of red to compositions that already have a language of their own. In Cherry Blossom, it belongs to a floral arrangement. In Royal Spade, it sharpens the character of a graphic symbol.

Both creations use laboratory grown ruby. Naming that origin is part of describing the jewel accurately, just as the gold color and diamond arrangement belong to its identity.

Cherry Blossom: color within a flower

The Cherry Blossom ring combines laboratory grown ruby, mother of pearl and lab grown diamonds in 18K rose gold. Each material contributes a different visual quality.

The ruby gives the composition a strong center of attention. Mother of pearl introduces a softer, changing surface, while the diamonds establish points of brightness around the motif. Rose gold connects these contrasts with a warm surrounding tone.

The success of the arrangement depends on proportion. The red must retain its presence while allowing the other materials to remain legible.

Royal Spade: the clarity of a symbol

In Royal Spade from the Monte Carlo collection, the spade motif gives the eye a familiar outline. Lab grown diamonds articulate the design, and laboratory grown ruby supplies a distinctive accent.

Here, red works within a more graphic vocabulary. It reinforces the direction of the composition and gives the symbol a particular personality.

One material, two expressions

These creations show why the Maison approaches colored stones through design rather than color alone. A floral ring and a symbolic jewel ask different things of a ruby.

Just Brilliant's D color standard for lab grown diamonds provides a restrained diamond palette alongside these colored gemstones. The ruby then finds its place through contrast, scale and the precision of the surrounding goldwork.
