Royal Spade: A Symbol Reimagined by Just Brilliant

The spade is a compact graphic form: pointed at one end, rounded through its shoulders and grounded by a short stem. Royal Spade takes that recognizable outline into the Just Brilliant Monte Carlo collection.

Lab grown diamonds, laboratory grown ruby and 18K white gold transform the symbol into a jewel. The design preserves the clarity of the motif while giving its surface and surrounding details a richer expression.

Recognition at a glance

A familiar symbol can carry much of a design's identity through its contour. Small changes in proportion can alter its mood, making it appear more slender, more emphatic or more ornamental.

Royal Spade uses this immediate recognition as a foundation. The viewer can read the overall motif before noticing the individual stones.

For Just Brilliant, this balance between a strong outline and fine detail offers a distinctive creative possibility.

The accent of red

The ruby brings a concentrated color note to the diamond composition. Its role differs from that of the white gold, which supports the cool overall framework.

The red helps establish emphasis within the jewel. The diamond details articulate the surrounding form, with the Maison's D color lab grown selection giving them a consistent color standard.

Each material contributes to the symbol without obscuring it.

A collection with a graphic vocabulary

Monte Carlo explores the expressive potential of recognizable motifs. Royal Spade belongs to that world through its particular outline and its combination of stones.

The creation shows how a Maison can work with an existing visual language while making specific choices of proportion, color and setting. Its identity lies in those choices: the familiar becomes personal through the way it is drawn in gold and diamonds.
